Cosmetic Dentistry | Dr. Jamie J Alexander, Recovery Dentistry

Many of our patients in recovery walk through our doors feeling extremely down about their appearance due to their extensive dental issues. They barely want to open their mouths to speak, let alone smile. Many talk with their hands in front of their mouths because they are embarrassed about their teeth.

You’ve come to the right place!

Many patients may have walked in that way, but by the time they complete treatment, they are smiling with ear-to-ear grins, proud of their appearance and the transformation that has taken place in our office. Dr. Alexander and his staff have years of experience helping many patients in recovery to look better, so they feel better about themselves and their appearance.

Let us show you how cosmetic dentistry is changing the lives of our patients in recovery.

Cosmetic Consultation

It all starts with a thorough and frank discussion of your treatment goals and how we can help you feel better about your smile.

Dr. Alexander and his staff make it a point to help you comfortable so you feel safe to speak openly and honestly about your concerns, feelings, and needs. This is a very important part of our evaluation and your opinions do matter!

If you decide that Dr. Alexander feels like the right fit for you and your dental restoration, we will schedule a comprehensive examination to evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, jaws, soft tissue and chewing muscles. This examination may also include dental x-rays or radiographs and dental photographs.

Dr. Alexander can offer many simple and affordable cosmetic dentistry solutions that will improve your smile. Don’t be afraid to get started – we’re here to help you every step of the way!

Teeth Whitening

Dr. Alexander can safely lighten the color of your teeth to give you a radiant, younger-looking smile using one of two methods for teeth whitening:.

  • An in-office, one-session  whitening procedurethat usually takes about an hour
  • A less-expensive home procedure using lightweight upper and lower bleaching trays that are custom fit to your teeth. Our office provides the bleaching gel and instruction on how to apply it to the inside of the trays, how often to wear the trays and for how long.

While both methods offer successful results, many patients like the immediate results they achieve through our in-office whitening procedure. To achieve the best results, keep in mind that Dr. Alexander will want to address your more pressing dental issues before recommending either procedure.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers can be used to remedy a variety of cosmetic situations, including:

  • Lightening dark or discolored teeth
  • Fixing chipped or fractured teeth
  • Straightening crooked or misaligned teeth
  • Closing gaps between teeth
  • Correcting an uneven bite (occlusion)
  • Lengthening teeth that have worn down over time

Made from porcelain, veneers can brighten your smile, enhancing your appearance with strong, natural-looking teeth. Strong porcelain combined with modern adhesive and bonding techniques provide durable beauty and performance.

Dr. Alexander has extensive experience placing custom veneers, which requires technical skill and a careful focus on cosmetic detail. He can help you feel confident about your smile again!
